AJC Cites Cobb Among Most Efficient School Operations

A recent investigation by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution into central office administrative costs of metro Atlanta school systems shows Cobb among the most efficient. The article cites, "Cobb County, while having the second-largest student population in the state, has one of the smallest central-office staffs and some of the lowest costs." The coverage also included a salary study of the state's six largest school systems; Cobb County has the lowest-paid superintendent and has the least number of employees earning $100,000 or more annually.
