Along with ensuring that our teachers and other classroom personnel have the knowledge and skills needed to meet the challenges of today’s classrooms, Cobb County School District is also dedicated to providing professional learning opportunities for local school and central office support personnel. It is our desire to promote personal growth and enhance job performance.

Due to the responsibilities of support staff, time for professional development is limited. During regular work weeks we offer a variety of three-hour workshops known as mini-workshops to assist with computer application skills. Any non-classroom CCSD employee may attend these non-credit workshops with permission from his/her immediate supervisor. Administrative staff may also attend the mini-workshops. Registration is required. Upcoming mini-workshop listings are located in the online course catalog under the Non-credit Workshops/Trainings category. OTHER NON-CREDIT WORKSHOPS

At various times during each school year, departments in the Curriculum and Instruction Division sponsor workshops for targeted audiences to support the implementation of teaching strategies, programs and regulations. These workshops are posted in the online course catalog under the Non-credit Workshops category and registration is required.

Instructors and C & I supervisors planning non-credit workshops should complete a workshop syllabus for each workshop and submit it to the District PL Registrar, Laura Stokes. Right-click on the link below and save the syllabus to your computer.
