Each school in the Cobb County School District offers one or more school-focused professional learning programs
aligned with its school improvement plan and designed to increase teacher effectiveness and improve student learning.
Identified school coordinators are responsible for submitting the professional learning plan for approval,
monitoring the registration process for staff members, and awarding Professional Learning Units (PLUs) upon completion of
the course. The professional development interventions included in the school-focused plan must be data-driven,
results-oriented, and research-based.
